Did You Know - The First Kiss?

What ever will you make with that? - Ivy Bowl and Tube Continued

We've all seen these ivy bowls right? Cute and fairly inexpensive at around a buck apiece. But, even cuter and less expensive? Humm, maybe?

We found these at our local secondhand stores. We actually got them for only 30 cents each. WOW! What a steal! So that's the less expensive part. Keep reading for the cuter part.

Besides being a bit dirty (and decorated with funky bows) they were in perfect condition, nothing a little soap and water couldn't fix. (Clean bowls drying in the sun.)

See this tube? It is actually about 4.5 feet tall and about 2 or 2.5 feet diameter. My husband found this in the yard at his work and it was going into the trash. What ever will I make with these ivy bowls and this tube? Continue reading.

Well, we cut the tube in half, painted and decorated it. Then added the bowls to which we stuck little card stock fish.

And low and behold you have a cute little fish bowl game! Now isn't that cute? We had this game at a recent birthday party for my son. And the prize for this game was the Fish in a Bag Soap that we recently showed you how to make. So what do you think? Cute right? I told ya! Isn't it fun to make stuff out of stuff? LOL!

What ever will you make with that? - Ivy Bowl and Tube

I get this question a lot! I have a tendency to want to make stuff out of stuff. LOL!(Junk/trash/used/secondhand/anything that seems use able for a project.) Some of my friends and family make fun and think I am crazy. They say "she's probably thinking what can I make out of this?" and they are right. Usually I am thinking just that!

So, what ever will I make with these ivy bowls and this tube? Check back tomorrow to find out.

Cherry Blossom Chopsticks - One of our favorites!

Not only are these Cherry Blossom Chopsticks beautiful but durable and very practical. They have a nice clear coating that keeps them in great shape. More useful than one might think! Of course there is the obvious, use them for eating, but I personally have used these in my hair (when my hair was longer)! They stay put every time. I have also used this chopstick to help me with a recent craft project of making fishie soap. (Will post the tutorial on that real soon.) What makes these even more attractive is the fact that they are so affordable. Click on the picture if you would like to purchase.

Originating in China during the Shang Dynasty, chopsticks have been elegant and sophisticated utensils for daily use all over the world. Decorate your wedding or special event with an eastern flair by adorning your place settings with our Cherry Blossom Chopsticks. Delicate cherry blossoms are printed atop these elegant wooden chopsticks. Try placing a pair at each place setting for guests to enjoy at home. Each pair of chopsticks comes packaged in a clear sleeve and tied with a white satin bow. Tags are not included. Size: 9"
